My name is Eluvia Garcia. I was born and raised in Guatemala. I graduated as a Public Accountant in 1987, at Liceo Mixto San Juan, Amatitlan, Guataemala. Shortly after, I obtained my diploma in Human Relations. When I came to the USA, I continued my education at Los Angeles Mission College and Compton Community College. I started working for California Children’s Academy as a teacher’s assistant. That’s when I first became interested in child development, so in 2007, I officially became a Preschool Teacher. I currently have 62 units in Children Development courses and I’m continuing my general education in Child Development. I have an Associate’s Degree in Child Development and I plan to transfer to a local University to obtain my BA Degree. I appreciate the California Children’s Academy for giving me the opportunity and for allowing me to make this my career. The children are our first priority and I enjoy the fact that I can give them my experience and education to help build them a better future.
