PROGRAMS AND SERVICES
California Children's Academy's early care & education centers provide services for infants, toddlers & preschoolers.
Professional, experienced staff provide a safe environment that meets the cognitive, social, physical & emotional needs of each child. We pride ourselves on maintaining low teacher/child ratios, which allow more opportunities to provide individual attention to each child.
All teachers must hold & maintain a current Associate Teacher Child Development Permit which authorizes them to teach young children. Teachers are encouraged to continue their education through the various incentive programs CCA provides. CCA also provides training for staff, on a monthly basis, on various early education practices & other classroom related items, such as classroom management, lesson planning, curriculum ideas, First Aid/CPR , etc.
Opportunities for parent participation, as well as access to resources, compliment the early education & care services. CCA offers family support through referrals, parent & community education, priority enrollment for children in child protective service or whom are at risk of abuse or neglect, and ethnic & cultural recognition of the families we serve.
Children learn & develop when they are in a predictable environment. As they have an opportunity to anticipate what will occur & can make choices throughout the day. Our center’s curriculum is based on reflective caregiving practices that are developmentally, culturally & linguistically appropriate. Primary caregivers take a playful approach when they interact with the children during routine care times. Children are nurtured, held, & encouraged through positive support & guidance throughout the day. Each child is encouraged to explore the language rich environment via activities such as water & sensory play, various art mediums, reading books, & dramatic play. Hands on activities are designed to promote learning through play, while preparing the children for their future school experience.
